International Chess Competition at Hotel Batwal, Crown Plaza, Nepal
The Colonel Ujeer Singh Thapa Memorial International Bil-2000 Chess Competition was held at Hotel Batwal, Crown Plaza in Nepal. A total of 153 players from America, Bangladesh, Nepal, and India participated in the event. District champion player Rohan Kumar from the district emerged as the champion in the Bil-1800 category, bringing pride to his district. He received the Champions Trophy along with a cash prize of Rs. 8000.
Achievements and Recognition
The District Chess Association’s General Secretary Shankar Narayan Datta and the Honorable Joint Secretary and CEO of Chess Crops Kamal Karmakar provided information about the prestigious international competition. Rohan, with a rating of 1653, secured 6 points out of 9 in the Bil-2000 category, earning the 19th position. This accomplishment was praised by various members of the association and dignitaries present at the event.

नेपाल के होटल बटवाल, क्राउन प्लाजा में कर्नल उजीर सिंह थापा मेमोरियल अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बिलो-2000 शतरंज प्रतियोगिता में अमेरिका, बांग्लादेश, नेपाल और भारत से कुल 153 खिलाड़ियों ने भाग लिया। इस प्रतियोगिता में अपने जिले के जिला चैंपियन खिलाड़ी रोहन कुमार ने चैंपियन बनकर अपने जिले का मान बढ़ाया। उन्हें चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी के साथ नगद 8000/★रुपये पुरस्कार स्वरूप मिला। इस उपलब्धि पर जिला शतरंज संघ के मानद महासचिव और चेस क्रॉप्स के सीईओ ने उन्हें बधाई दी और उनकी उपलब्धि की सराहना की।
