This article talks about the Chhath festival celebrations happening in India, including important dates and rituals.

Chhath, a popular festival celebrated with great devotion, is happening across India. It started on Saturday, 25th October, with the first day called ‘Nahay-Khay’. Today, which is the second day, is known as Kharna. On this day, devotees prepare special offerings like kheer and roti for Chhathi Maiya, and they also begin a strict 36-hour fast.

The third day of the festival will take place on the evening of Monday, 27th October. People will gather at riverbanks or ponds to offer their first Arghya to the setting sun. The celebration will wrap up on the fourth day, Tuesday, 28th October, with the final offering to the rising sun in the morning.

In Bihar, the times for these rituals will differ slightly across different districts. For the Sandhya Arghya on October 27, the sunset is expected between 5:01 PM and 5:18 PM. In major cities like Patna, it will be at 5:11 PM, while in Bhagalpur, it will be at 5:04 PM.

For the sunrise on October 28, the time will generally be between 5:45 AM and 6:01 AM. In Patna, the sun will rise at 5:55 AM, while in Muzaffarpur, it will be at 5:54 AM. These timings are crucial for devotees planning their rituals during the festival.

As Chhath continues, people across the country are embracing the traditions and rituals with enthusiasm. The festival not only brings families together but also strengthens community bonds as they participate in these sacred practices.
