In a separate incident, the surveillance team had arrested Anand Kumar Gupta, the police station officer of Aurangabad district, for accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000. The SHO was caught taking money to remove the names of three accused individuals from a kidnapping case. This arrest highlights the ongoing efforts to tackle corruption within the police force.
