Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Inspects SKMCH and Lays Foundation Stone of Nursing Hostel
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Muzaffarpur on Thursday and first inspected SKMCH. He then laid the foundation stone of a nursing hostel at the premises of Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital Research Center. Kumar stated that the cancer hospital is a boon for the poor and the new building will be ready in two years, providing better facilities to the people. He also laid the foundation stone for several other public welfare schemes.
Financial Assistance Provided to Sunita, a Kidney Patient
CM Nitish Kumar also gave financial aid of Rs 5 lakh to Sunita, who had lost her kidney due to mismanagement. He met Sunita at the Cancer Hospital premises, inquired about her well-being, and handed her a check of Rs 5 lakh.
Inspection of Piku Ward and Security Arrangements
Prior to laying the foundation stone of the nursing hostel, CM Nitish Kumar inspected the Piku ward at SKMCH, which is designed for children suffering from Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES or Chamki Fever). The hospital is treating children from North Bihar affected by Chamki fever. Tight security arrangements were made for the Chief Minister’s visit, with approximately 500 policemen deployed in the city.
