In a shocking incident in Jogbani, Araria, a man named Neeraj Gupta, who supplied cold drinks, was shot dead late Saturday night. The shooting happened in Haji Mohalla, and the accused vendor has since gone missing. Neeraj was known to operate in the local area and was a resident of Araria RS police station.

Neeraj used to supply cold drinks to shops and trains at the Jogbani railway station. That night, he was staying with the accused vendor at his house. Reports suggest that they had been drinking together when the tragedy unfolded.

Locals say that the two men had been drinking alcohol, and during the night, an argument broke out. Anmol Singh, the accused vendor, shot Neeraj around midnight while they were together. This has left the community in shock as they recall Neeraj’s presence in the area.

After the incident, police rushed to the referral hospital in Farbisganj, where doctors confirmed Neeraj was dead. His body has been sent for postmortem in Araria, and the police are actively searching for the accused who is currently evading capture.

Neeraj’s father has alleged that his son’s friends are involved in the murder. The police are looking into this claim and have started their investigations based on the initial findings. Neeraj was in Jogbani for work and was staying with friends when this unfortunate event happened.
