Neeraj Kumar, Begusarai: Currently, cold wave conditions are prevailing in Bihar. The weather department has declared a cold day in several areas. According to the weather forecast, these conditions are expected to continue for the next three days. In light of the deteriorating situation due to the cold wave in Begusarai, schools have been ordered to remain closed. However, classes 9 and above will continue to operate from 9 am to 3:30 pm. Many larger schools in the district have switched to online mode.
Schools to remain closed until January 20th: Begusarai DM Roshan Kushwaha has announced that due to the cold and chilly weather, academic activities for all classes up to grade 8 in both private and government schools in Begusarai district will be prohibited until January 20th, initially until January 18th. The situation regarding the cold wave remains challenging in the district.
As a result, it cannot be denied that there is a possibility of adverse effects on children’s health and their lives. In this regard, Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 has been extended until January 20th in all Anganwadi centers, private schools, and government schools in Begusarai district where education is provided up to grade 8, imposing a ban on academic activities.
Teachers to remain in school until 5 pm: All schools in the district that cater to classes 9 to 12 will continue to operate until 3:30 pm. Special classes and practical exams for students in grades 9 to 12 will also be mandatory. However, teachers have not been granted any relief during this time. They will be required to remain in school from 9 am to 5 pm.
बिहार के बेगूसराय जिले में शीतलहर चल रही है और मौसम विभाग ने कई इलाकों में कोल्ड डे की घोषणा की है। इसके चलते शीतलहर की हालत और आगे बने रहने की आशंका के चलते बेगूसराय जिले के स्कूलों को बंद करने का आदेश जारी किया गया है। स्कूलों को 20 जनवरी तक बंद रखने का निर्देश दिया गया है और इसका पालन करने के लिए सभी शिक्षकों को सुबह 9 बजे से शाम 5 बजे तक स्कूल में बने रहना होगा। इसके अलावा जिले में स्कूलों के शैक्षणिक गतिविधियों पर धारा 144 के तहत प्रतिबंध लगाया गया है।
