The entire region is experiencing a severe cold wave, with temperatures dropping significantly due to cold winds and fog.
Bihar Weather: The maximum temperature in Purnia has decreased due to cold winds, resulting in a record low of 13.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 13.2 degrees Celsius. Throughout the day, dense fog and cold winds made the weather extremely chilly. The cold is expected to decrease in Purnia soon, but visibility may still be affected due to fog in some areas.
Bihar Weather: Kishanganj is also experiencing continuous cold temperatures and severe cold wave. The minimum temperature in Kishanganj has dropped below 9 degrees Celsius for the fourth consecutive day. The dense fog and chilly winds have made life difficult for the residents. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 18 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 11 degrees Celsius. The temperature difference of six degrees Celsius between day and night is causing discomfort and inconvenience to the people.
Bihar Weather: Katihar is also facing continuous cold temperatures and cold wave, with no relief in sight. The temperature has been consistently dropping for the past four days. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 18 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 9 degrees Celsius, making life difficult for the residents. According to the weather department, there will be no relief from the cold until January 26, with a possible decrease of one or two degrees Celsius in temperatures. The cold wave will continue to affect the region. The residents are struggling to cope with the extreme cold and are staying indoors as much as possible.
