Congress MLA Amba Prasad’s residence in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, was raided by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for the second consecutive day. Earlier on Tuesday, the ED had conducted a raid at his residence for nearly 18 hours. The searches were conducted at the addresses of the Congress MLA.
ED conducted simultaneous raids on Wednesday morning in various districts of Jharkhand, including the state capital Ranchi. The searches were related to the alleged land and transfer-posting scam cases involving Congress MLA Amba Prasad’s addresses. During the raid on Tuesday, the MLA accused ED officials of causing him distress and suffering throughout the day.
Taking a direct aim at the BJP, Amba Prasad stated that BJP-RSS people see him as a strong leader in Hazaribagh. He revealed that he was offered a Lok Sabha ticket from Hazaribagh, which he ignored. He also mentioned facing pressure from the RSS to contest elections but chose to ignore it due to his affiliation with Congress and his continuous success in the Barkagaon seat.
Sources revealed that a complaint regarding financial irregularities against the Congress MLA was filed with the ED’s Ranchi regional office in 2023. Based on the complaint, senior ED officials had requested information on all FIRs filed against Amba Prasad from the Jharkhand Police. The investigation continues into the allegations against the MLA.
झारखंड के कांग्रेस विधायक अंबा प्रसाद के आवास पर ईडी की छापेमारी जारी है, जिसमें उनके ठिकानों पर भी छापेमारी हुई है। अंबा प्रसाद ने भाजपा और आरएसएस पर साधा निशाना साधते हुए कहा कि वे लगातार बड़कागांव सीट जीत रहे हैं और कांग्रेस से ताल्लुक रखने के कारण उनपर निशाना साधा जा रहा है। ईडी के रांची क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय में उनके खिलाफ 2023 में धनशोधन की शिकायत दर्ज की गई थी। इसके आधार पर ईडी ने झारखंड पुलिस से अंबा प्रसाद के खिलाफ दर्ज सभी एफआईआर की जानकारी भी मांगी थी।
