Expansion

The construction of underpasses on 18 railway crossings of the Samastipur Railway Division is underway. These underpasses include the much-awaited underpass near the Darbhanga Railway Station. The completion of these underpasses will significantly reduce the problem of traffic jams in North Bihar. The construction of these underpasses has been a long-standing demand of the people, and work has finally begun on them.

Construction of Foot Over Bridges

The Samastipur-Khagaria railway section will have an LHS at Gumti No. 13 between Rosra-Nayanagar stations. Another LHS will be constructed at Gumti No. 10 between Jubbah Sahni-Pipraha stations. Similarly, LHS will be constructed at Gumti No. 20 between Rosra-Singhiyaghat, and at Gumti No. 27A between Singhiyaghat-Angar Ghat. The construction of LHS at various locations along with Road Over Bridges is aimed at improving connectivity and reducing traffic congestion in the region.

Construction Projects

The construction work includes an LHS at Gumti No. 30 between Angar Ghat-Bhagwanpur Desua, LHS at Gumti No. 7 between Jubbah Sahni-Pipraha, Road Over Bridge at LC No. 21 between Laheriasarai-Darbhanga, LHS at LC No. B between Krishna Singh Gadhpura station, Road Over Bridge at LC No. 21 between Laheriasarai-Darbhanga, LHS at LC No. 160 near Bapudham Motihari station, Road Over Bridge at Kanti Yard, Road Over Bridge at LC No. 18 between Thalwara-Laheriasarai, Road Over Bridge at LC No. 124 between Motihari-Mahbal, and Road Over Bridge at NC No. 28 between Darbhanga-Mohammadpur Road. These projects aim to enhance rail and road connectivity in the region.

समस्तीपुर रेलवे मंडल में 18 रेलवे गुमटी पर अंडरपास बनाया जाएगा। इन पुलों में दलसिंहसराय स्टेशन के पास स्थित 32 नंबर रेलवे गुमटी भी शामिल है। इसके निर्माण से उत्तर बिहार में सड़क जाम की समस्या कम होगी। इन ब्रिजों का शिलान्यास प्रधानमंत्री रेलवे मंडल के विभिन्न खंडों पर किया जाएगा।
