Construction Work on Third Line in Vijayawada Division
The South Central Railway’s Vijayawada division is undertaking construction work on the third line at Surareddipalem, Ongole, and Sikandarabad stations to improve passenger amenities and operational efficiency. The expansion of line capacity resulting from the construction of the third line will allow for the operation of more trains and improve their punctuality. As a result of the construction work, five paired trains passing through this route have been cancelled and one paired train has been diverted.
Cancellation of Trains
The following trains have been cancelled: Danapur-Samastipur Special Train (train number 03247) on December 7th and 14th, Samastipur-Danapur Special Train (train number 03248) on December 9th and 16th, Danapur-Samastipur Special Train (train number 03241) on December 8th and 15th, and Samastipur-Danapur Special Train (train number 03242) on December 10th and 17th. Additionally, Danapur-Samastipur Special Train (train number 03251) will be cancelled on December 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th, and Samastipur-Danapur Special Train (train number 03252) will be cancelled on December 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th. Patna-Samastipur Humsafar Express (train number 22353) will be cancelled on December 14th, and Samastipur-Patna Humsafar Express (train number 22354) will be cancelled on December 17th. Barauni-Ernakulam Rapti Sagar Express (train number 12521) will be cancelled on December 11th, and Ernakulam-Barauni Rapti Sagar Express (train number 12522) will be cancelled on December 15th.
Change in Train Routes
The route of the following train will be changed: Samastipur-Danapur Sanghamitra Express (train number 12295) scheduled to depart from Bengaluru on December 16th and 17th will be diverted via Dharmavaram, Raichur, Kacheguda, Kazipet, and Balharshah. Similarly, Danapur-Samastipur Sanghamitra Express (train number 12296) scheduled to depart from Danapur on December 16th and 17th will be diverted via Balharshah, Kazipet, Kacheguda, Raichur, and Dharmavaram.
