Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister and ministers of the Nitish Kumar government have been making continuous remarks against the gods and goddesses. The latest controversy involves an RJD MLA, Fateh Bahadur, who made a controversial statement about the goddess of education, Savitribai Phule. He stated that they do not believe in Lord Ram and Saraswati. To support his argument, Bahadur even referred to the Supreme Court.
Fateh Bahadur, an RJD MLA from Dehri in Rohtas, has previously made disrespectful remarks about Goddess Saraswati and demanded the installation of a statue of Savitribai Phule in schools. Prior to this, several other figures in Bihar, including Education Minister Chandrashekhar and Anita Devi, have made controversial statements about gods and goddesses.
It should be noted that Fateh Bahadur Singh has previously made controversial statements about Lord Ram and Goddess Durga. These objectionable statements have led to protests from various Hindu organizations, including the BJP. On the other hand, the RJD has distanced itself from these statements. RJD spokesperson Shakti Yadav clearly stated that Fateh Bahadur’s remarks have nothing to do with our party. While our party respects all religions, he has once again targeted the gods and goddesses.
