The father of the revenue officer alleges that the girl’s family conspired and got his son married. The police were present during the wedding, which was conducted forcefully in front of them.
**Story Begins in Patla Village of Choudahi**
Rintu Kumar, the son of Shyam Narayan Mahto from Patla village in the Choudahi police station area, is a revenue department employee in Sitamarhi. Jageshwar Prasad from Samastipur had proposed his daughter’s marriage to Rintu, but the proposal was rejected. A month ago, when Rintu came home on leave, the girl also came to visit her relatives in his village.
**Girl’s Relatives Lured Rintu for a Meeting**
The girl’s relatives invited Rintu to their house under the pretext of having tea and introduced him to the girl. After the meeting, Rintu returned to Sitamarhi. In the meantime, the girl’s relatives called the revenue officer and informed him that a youth’s exam center was in Sitamarhi and requested him to arrange accommodation for him. The officer agreed and asked them to send the boy, assuring he would arrange the exam.
**Allegations of Kidnapping Against Revenue Officer**
The girl’s father filed a complaint at the police station, accusing the revenue officer of kidnapping his daughter. The police called the officer and asked him to bring the girl to the station. The officer brought the girl to Samastipur, where the police took both of them to the station. Subsequently, a forced marriage was conducted at Baba Vibhutipur Temple. The father of the officer claims that they were not informed by the police and alleges a conspiracy to get his son married. The officer has not given a statement yet, while the girl’s family denies any forced marriage and states that the girl was sent with the boy after the wedding.
