Corrupt SI caught taking bribe in Begusarai
A Sub-Inspector named Vineet Kumar Jha was caught taking a bribe of Rs 15,000 in the Bhagwanpur police station area of Begusarai. He had demanded the bribe from the brother of a complainant in a case of robbery and assault.
New Indian Penal Code being implemented
The new Indian Penal Code is being implemented in the country from July. Training sessions are being conducted for the same. Vineet Kumar Jha had attended a training session on the first day where he was briefed about the responsibilities of the police service and how to protect the public.
Violence and corruption exposed
The victim, Saurabh Kumar, had filed a complaint against the SI for demanding a bribe of Rs 15,000 repeatedly to arrest the accused involved in assault and robbery. The Vigilance team caught the SI red-handed while taking the bribe.
Victim narrates harrowing experience
Saurabh Kumar narrated how he and his family were subjected to assault and robbery by criminals who demanded a hefty sum of money. Despite filing complaints, the SI did not take any action until the Vigilance team intervened and arrested him for corruption.
बेगूसराय के भगवानपुर थाना में एसआई विनीत कुमार झा को 15 हजार रुपए घूस लेते पकड़ा गया था। उन्होंने एक पीड़ित को लूटने और मारने की धमकियाँ दी थीं। इस मामले में विजिलेंस ने उन्हें पकड़ा और गिरफ्तार किया। इसके बाद उनके खिलाफ कार्रवाई की जा रही है।
