ED to Question IAS Manish Ranjan Again in Jharkhand Rural Development Department Scam
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will once again question IAS Manish Ranjan in the rural development department scam in Jharkhand. Earlier, ED questioned Manish for 9 hours on Tuesday. According to ED sources, Manish described himself as an honest person and stated that he does not spare any corrupt officials in the department. However, when asked about his relationship with Alamgir Alam, he got entangled.
ED Seeks Written Information from Manish Ranjan by Monday
During questioning, ED asked Manish about the property of his family members, their assets, income, etc. and requested detailed information. ED has also provided a form to Manish, asking him to fill it out and bring it by Monday. The information requested by ED must be answered in writing.
Allegations of Commission in the Tender Commission Scam
In the tender commission scam, ED arrested the Chief Engineer Veerendra Ram based on information received. Sanjeev Lal, the PS of Minister Alamgir Alam, and his associate Jahangir Alam were also arrested. The investigation agency claimed that the scam could involve up to 3,000 crores and several influential individuals may be involved.
Alamgir Avoiding Important Information
ED provided written information to the court stating that Minister Alamgir Alam is involved in money laundering but is avoiding providing any details. The agency stated that Alamgir is hiding crucial information related to the case. Further investigations are ongoing to uncover all involved individuals in the scam.
