Counting Begins in Saran and Maharajganj Lok Sabha
The counting of votes for the Saran and Maharajganj Lok Sabha constituencies has begun at 8 am. The counting is taking place at the Chapra district headquarters market committee. The first counting will be done for postal ballots, followed by the process of counting votes from EVMs.
Update on Maharajganj Constituency
The counting for three rounds in Maharajganj constituency has been completed. BJP candidate Janardan Singh Sigriwal is leading with 4799 votes. The counting is being conducted by creating separate blocks in the market committee of the district headquarters for voting in different blocks.
Preparations for Peaceful Counting
The district administration has made all necessary arrangements for peaceful counting of votes in Maharajganj constituency, which is a combination of Saran and Siwan districts. Separate sectors have been allocated for counting votes from both Lok Sabha constituencies in the market committee.
Main Contestants and Rounds of Counting
The main contest in Maharajganj and Saran Lok Sabha constituencies is between the NDA alliance and the Mahagathbandhan alliance. In Maharajganj, the fight is between BJP candidate Janardan Singh Sigriwal and Congress candidate Akash Kumar Singh. In Saran, the competition is between BJP candidate and incumbent MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy and RJD candidate Rohini Acharya, daughter of Lalu Prasad Yadav. Multiple rounds of counting are being conducted in each assembly segment to determine the final results.
सारण और महाराजगंज लोकसभा की काउंटिंग 8 बजे से शुरू हो गई है। छपरा मुख्यालय की बाजार समिति में मतगणना चल रही है। पहले पोस्टल बैलेट की गिनती की जाएगी और फिर ईवीएम से मतगणना की प्रक्रिया शुरू होगी। महाराजगंज में तीन राउंड की काउंटिंग पूरी हो चुकी है और बीजेपी के जनार्दन सिंह सिग्रिवाल 4799 वोट से आगे हैं। जिला मुख्यालय के बाजार समिति में अलग-अलग ब्लॉक बनाकर मतदान का कार्य किया जा रहा है और आज मंगलवार की दोपहर बाद तक निर्णय आने के अनुमान है। गिनती कार्य के लिए विधानसभा वार 14 टेबल लगाए गए हैं, जिसमें एक साथ 14 बूथ के ईवीएम के मतों की गिनती की जा रही है। जनार्दन सिंह सिग्रीवाल और आकाश कुमार सिंह के बीच महाराजगंज और सारण लोकसभा क्षेत्र में मुख्य मुकाबला है।
