Tragic Incident in Sheikhpura
In a tragic incident in Hathiyawa village of Sadar block in Sheikhpura, a couple lost their lives due to an electric current shock. The deceased have been identified as Rajneesh Kumar alias Thaman Singh, the 45-year-old son of Arun Singh from the village, and his 40-year-old wife Preetam Sinha.
Details of the Incident
According to sources, the electric current was flowing through the pole in the neighboring field. Rajneesh Kumar got shocked by the current and his wife also got affected while trying to save him. Both of them lost their lives in the incident. The villagers rushed them to the Sadar Hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared them dead.
Visit of the MLA and Police Action
Upon receiving the news of the incident, JDU MLA Sudarshan Kumar from Barbigha seat and the deceased’s relative reached the Sadar Hospital. The MLA expressed deep condolences over the incident. It is worth mentioning that Rajneesh Kumar, who lost his life in the incident, had two siblings. A few years ago, his sister also died in a road accident.
Police Action and Investigation
After the incident, the Hathiyawa police station has taken custody of the bodies of the deceased couple for post-mortem. The Station House Officer, Vijay Kumar, confirmed the incident and stated that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
शेखपुरा में शुक्रवार को सदर प्रखंड के हथियावा गांव में बिजली करंट के चपेट में आने से एक दंपती की मौत हो गई। मृतक की पहचान गांव के अरुण सिंह के 45 वर्षीय पुत्र रजनीश कुमार उर्फ थमन सिंह और उनकी 40 वर्षीय उसकी पत्नी प्रीतम सिन्हा के रूप में की गई है। बगल के खेत बिजली के खंभे में बिजली करंट प्रवाहित हो रही थी, जिसकी चपेट में दंपती आ गए। जिन्हें बचाने के चक्कर में उनकी पत्नी भी चपेट में आ गई। दोनों की मौत हो गई। घटना के बाद ग्रामीणों की सहायता से दोनों को इलाज हेतु सदर अस्पताल लाया गया, जहां चिकित्सकों ने उनको मृत घोषित कर दिया। विधायक ने घटना पर गहरी शोक संवेदना प्रकट की है।
