Unusual Sightings of Cobra Snake Gather Crowds in Vaishali

A crowd of people has gathered near the Langdi Pakar Chowk on the Hajipur-Lalgunj main road in Vaishali. However, this gathering is not for a fair, but to catch a glimpse of a cobra snake. From morning till evening, villagers and passersby on this road have been stopping here to witness a glimpse of the snake. To ensure the safety of the snake, a barricade has been set up with ropes. People are being appealed to stay outside the barricade. Local residents have also put up a Mahaviri flag and are offering milk to the snake.

The Cobra Snake Becomes a Local Deity

For the past 20 to 25 days, the cobra snake, also known as Indian Cobra, has been coming out here, as believed by the locals. Initially, people saw it and left. But when it started appearing continuously, people wondered why the snake was coming out at the same place. On closer observation, it was found that the snake comes out and then goes into a tunnel in a nearby land.

The Snake Attracts a Huge Crowd

When a container of milk was placed near the tunnel, the snake drank it, and the news spread like wildfire in the village. Soon, a crowd resembling a fair started gathering. People passing by are giving money, thinking the snake is a deity. Upon receiving the information, the Bihar Police team from 112 also arrived at the scene but left after seeing the situation under control. The snake has been appearing here since January 22, and people from far and wide come to see it. They consider it a divine entity and offer prayers. It comes out three times a day and then goes back after drinking milk.
