Bihar to Experience Impact of Cyclonic Storm Remal from Bangladesh and West Bengal
The weather department has predicted a change in weather in Bihar from May 27 onwards, with the impact expected to last for the next 5-6 days. Light to moderate rain is expected in many districts, with some areas possibly experiencing heavy rainfall. The cyclonic storm is expected to bring winds with speeds of 130 to 140 km per hour and widespread cloud cover in most areas.
Weather Forecast for Different Parts of Bihar
According to the weather department, northern Bihar may experience heavy rain along with strong winds, while southern Bihar may see cloud cover and light rain in some areas. Districts like Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Saharsa, Madhepura, Purnia, Katihar, Khagaria, Munger, Bhagalpur, Banka, and Jamui are likely to receive rainfall between May 27 and 28. The weather department expects relief from the heat due to the rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds in these areas.
Impact of Cyclonic Storm Remal in Bihar
The cyclonic storm, named Remal, is expected to have a minimal impact due to its weakened state. The weather department anticipates the storm to show its effects from Monday onwards, with no significant increase in maximum temperatures expected. Moist winds from the Bay of Bengal will continue to flow into Bihar, providing relief from the scorching heat. The cyclone is not expected to affect the monsoon, and its arrival is predicted to be on time.
