Patna Police arrested a grandfather and his grandson during a raid in Nasariganj, Danapur for drug smuggling. The operation was carried out following specific information about their illegal activities. The duo was caught red-handed with a consignment of cannabis and cash in their possession on March 30, 2026.

What items did the police recover during the raid?

The Bihar police team seized a total of 4 kg of ganja from the location. Along with the drugs, 44,000 rupees in cash were found on the spot. The police also took two bikes into their custody which were allegedly used for transporting the illegal items. All recovered materials have been documented as evidence for the court proceedings.

What legal action is being taken against the accused?

The authorities have booked both the grandfather and the grandson under the NDPS Act. This law deals specifically with narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. While the main suspects are behind bars, the police are actively searching for other members of the smuggling gang. Further raids are expected in the nearby areas to break the entire supply chain as the investigation continues.
