Danapur Railway Division sets new ticket sales records, thanks to a successful ticket checking campaign.

The Danapur Railway Division, part of the East Central Railway, has achieved a remarkable milestone recently. In just one day, they sold 4.1 lakh general tickets, which is the highest number they have ever recorded. This surge in ticket sales started after Dussehra, with daily sales consistently exceeding four lakh tickets.

This increase in ticket sales is largely due to the ‘Lal Gaadi’ campaign, which focuses on strict ticket checking. Led by Senior Commercial Manager Abhinav Siddharth, this initiative has helped raise awareness among passengers and has effectively reduced ticketless travel. As a result, ticket sales have shot up significantly.

For passengers, this means more assurance and a smoother travel experience. Major stations like Patna, Danapur, and Rajendranagar Terminal have seen up to a 25 percent rise in ticket sales. The campaign is not only helping in ticket sales but also encouraging more people to purchase reserved tickets, with around 72 thousand reservations made daily.

Abhinav Siddharth mentioned that the railway division is earning crores in revenue each month, while catching about 50 to 65 thousand passengers traveling without tickets. This ongoing campaign is effectively changing the travel habits of the public and improving railway operations.

With this new approach, the Danapur Railway Division is setting a high standard in railway services. The continuous efforts in ticket checking and raising awareness are making a noticeable difference, and the division aims to maintain this positive trend moving forward.

  • Danapur Railway Division sold a record 4.1 lakh tickets in one day.

  • Lal Gaadi campaign has increased awareness and reduced ticketless travel.
