Fourth Phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024
In the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024, voting for the Darbhanga parliamentary seat was conducted peacefully. However, compared to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, there was a decrease of 2.29% in voter turnout. While there was a 58.35% voter turnout in the previous Lok Sabha elections, this time only 56.6% of voters exercised their franchise.
Post-Voting Press Conference
After the voting concluded in the district, District Election Officer and DM Rajeev Roshan held a press conference at the counting center in the Bazaar Committee in the evening. He mentioned that with the cooperation of all officials involved in the election process, peaceful voting was conducted not only in the Darbhanga Lok Sabha constituency but also in the partial areas of Samastipur Lok Sabha constituency ★Hayaghat and Kusheshwarsthan assembly areas.
Security Measures for EVMs and VVPATs
District Election Officer Rajeev Roshan informed that after the voting, EVMs and VVPATs have been kept secure in the Vajragriha at the Bazaar Committee. He stated that strict security arrangements have been made for the protection of EVMs, with three layers of security in place. Security personnel will be deployed in three shifts until the completion of the vote counting process. Arrangements have also been made for the representatives of the candidates to stay.
Smooth Conduct of Lok Sabha Elections
SSP Jagunath Reddy confirmed that the Lok Sabha elections were conducted peacefully. A total of 17 individuals were detained during the elections and later released in the evening. No priority has been given to any complaints related to the elections in any police station.
लोकसभा चुनाव 2024 के चौथे चरण में दरभंगा संसदीय सीट के लिए मतदान शांतिपूर्वक संपन्न हो गया। पिछले लोकसभा चुनाव के मुकाबले इस बार 2.29 प्रतिशत मतदान कम हुआ। मतदान करने के लिए मतदाताओं को विभिन्न मध्यमों से प्रेरित किया गया था और इसका प्रभाव है कि 56.6 प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ। जिले में मतदान के बाद ईवीएम और वीवीपैट को सुरक्षित रखा गया है और लोकसभा चुनाव को शांतिपूर्ण तरीके से संपन्न किया गया है।
