Discovery of Body near Old Iron Bridge in Samastipur
The body of a man was found near the old iron bridge of Budhi Gandak river in Samastipur on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Das, son of Ramchandra Das from Ward 32 of Kashi Pur Mohalla. His son Raju Kumar mentioned that his father used to go for a walk every night after dinner around 9 pm, wearing shorts and a vest. However, when he did not return home late at night, the family started searching for him but could not find him.

समस्तीपुर के बूढी गंडक नदी के पुराना लोहापुल के पास शनिवार को उपलाता हुए एक अधेड़ का शव मिला, जिसकी पहचान शहर के काशीपुर वार्ड 32 मोहल्ला के रामचंद्र दास के पुत्र राजेंद्र दास 50 के रूप में की गई। मृतक के बेटे राजू कुमार ने बताया कि रात करीब 9 बजे खाना खाने के बाद पैंट व गंजी में ही रोजाना की तरह घर से टहलने के लिए निकले थे, लेकिन देर रात तक जब वह घर नहीं पहुंचे तो परिवार के लोगों ने उनकी खोजबीन शुरू की। चर्चा है कि रात परिवार के लोगों के बीच विवाद हुआ था, जिसके बाद राजेंद्र नदी में कूदकर जान दे दी है। शव का पंचनामा बनाकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए सदर अस्पताल भेजा गया है, और पूरे मामले की जांच की जा रही है।
