Delayed Diesel Subsidy for Bihar Farmers

Farmers in Bihar, who are suffering due to low rainfall, are facing delays in receiving diesel subsidies. Out of the approved 150 crore rupees, only 12 lakh rupees worth of diesel subsidies have been distributed in the last 10 days. Agriculture Minister Mangal Pandey has stated that the subsidy amount is being distributed from July 26.

Rice Plantation Progress Amidst Monsoon

Amidst the monsoon rains in Bihar, a total of 29 lakh 68 thousand 634 hectares of rice cultivation has been completed so far. The target for rice plantation was set at 36 lakh hectares, and 80% of the target has been achieved. Minister Mangal Pandey has informed that up to 90% of the plantation will be completed in the next week. Farmers have also shown progress in maize cultivation.

Low Rice Cultivation in Five Districts

In South Bihar districts where there has been less rainfall, rice cultivation has been affected resulting in lower yields. Jamui has achieved 46.4% of rice cultivation, Banka has achieved 49%, Gaya has achieved 54%, Nawada has achieved 54%, and Aurangabad has achieved 55% of rice plantation.

High Rice Cultivation in Five Districts

In contrast, North Bihar districts have experienced good monsoon rains leading to successful rice cultivation. Katihar has achieved the highest with 107% rice cultivation, followed by Saharsa with 101%, Kishanganj with 100%, Gopalganj with 100%, and Aurangabad with 100% rice plantation completion.

बिहार में कम बारिश के कारण किसानों को डीजल अनुदान में देरी हो रही है, जिसके चलते स्वीकृत 150 करोड़ रुपए में से 10 दिनों में मात्र 12 लाख रुपए डीजल अनुदान बांटे गए हैं। इसके बावजूद बिहार में मानसून की कम बारिश के बीच अब तक 29 लाख 68 हजार 634 हेक्टेयर धान का आच्छादन हो पाया है, जिससे 80% का लक्ष्य पूरा हो सका है। इसके साथ ही उत्तर बिहार के जिलों में मानसून की अच्छी बारिश के कारण धान की रोपनी भी अच्छी हो रही है, जैसे कि कटिहार जिले में 107% और सहरसा जिले में 101% धान का आच्छादन हो चुका है।
