Details of the Bawana Shooting Incident

The murder took place on March 19 in Harevelli village, Bawana, where gunmen opened fire on Ravi Bhardwaj. The attack led to the death of Ravi and caused injuries to three other people, including his 55-year-old father Anil, a shopkeeper named Raj Kumar, and an eight-year-old child. Following the incident, the Delhi Police registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS and the Arms Act at the Bawana police station.

Police Investigation and Arrest Operations

Additional DCP Amit Kaushik confirmed that Akash alias Bittu was the main shooter who had fled to Bihar after the crime. The Delhi Police Crime Branch and the Anti-Narcotics Squad worked with Bihar Police to track his location. Investigations suggest that this shooting was a result of a deep-seated rivalry between the Tillu Tajpuriya gang and the Jitender Gogi gang. Two other suspects were arrested in Rohini after a brief shootout with the police on March 27, 2026.
