The Dhanbad-Chandrapura passenger train will start running again from 10th January, bringing good news for the people of Jharkhand. The decision to resume train services after almost seven years was announced by the senior officials of Dhanbad Railway Division. The train, which connects Dhanbad and Bokaro districts, will operate for six days a week.

Train services on this route were suspended on 15th June 2017, following the recommendation of the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) due to the risk of fire under the tracks. A total of 26 passenger and express trains were suspended at that time. However, in 2019, the tracks were reopened for operations. Apart from the Dhanbad-Chandrapura passenger train, all the suspended trains were reinstated.

Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha expressed his joy over the decision to restart the Dhanbad-Chandrapura passenger train. He stated that the efforts made by them to resume the train service have finally paid off.

झारखंड के लोगों के लिए अच्छी खबर है कि धनबाद-चंद्रपुरा पैसेंजर ट्रेन 10 जनवरी से फिर से पटरी पर दौड़ेगी। रेलवे ने 7 साल बाद ट्रेन सेवा को फिर से शुरू करने का निर्णय लिया है। यह ट्रेन धनबाद और बोकारो जिलों को जोड़ेगी और सप्ताह में 6 दिन चलेगी। पहले इस रूट पर चलने वाली ट्रेनों को आग लगने के खतरे के कारण 2017 में निलंबित किया गया था, लेकिन 2019 में ट्रैक को फिर से आवाजाही के लिए खोल दिया गया था। इस खबर पर धनबाद सदर विधायक राज सिन्हा ने खुशी जाहिर की है।
