The Registrar of TMBU Bhagalpur University, Girijesh Nandan Kumar, is facing difficulties as he was suspended after a recent meeting with the Education Department. Additionally, a student has lodged a primary complaint against him, accusing him of using derogatory language and physical assault.

Allegations of Caste-based Abusive Language and Assault

The student, Rishu Raj, has filed a complaint against the suspended Registrar under the SC-ST Act, claiming that he used caste-based derogatory words and physically assaulted him. The incident occurred when Rishu Raj met the Registrar to discuss his issue, but the Registrar resorted to using abusive language and resorted to violence when Rishu Raj objected.

Request for Vigilance Inquiry

In response to the allegations, the suspended Registrar has requested a vigilance inquiry or an investigation by a high-level committee from the Vigilance Department or the Raj Bhavan. He denies knowing the student and believes he is being falsely implicated.

Meeting and Complaints with Higher Authorities

During the incident, several university officials were present in the Registrar’s chamber, discussing the university’s website tender. On the same day, a meeting of college principals was also taking place to discuss college bank accounts, unrelated to the incident.
