District Magistrate Takes Action to Ensure Timely Execution of Applications and Infrastructure Improvements in Gayaji

The District Officer, DM Shashank Shubhankar, recently expressed his strong displeasure regarding the slow processing of applications during the Dainik Janata Darbar in Gayaji. This meeting highlighted serious issues of negligence in the departments, particularly in the Electricity Department, leading to immediate consequences for the officers involved.

In a significant move, the DM ordered a salary ban for the Executive Engineer of the Electricity Department after finding delays in the installation of electricity poles. This decision came after a resident’s complaint about unsafe hanging wires in his area, which could cause accidents. The DM has given a strict timeline of seven days for the poles to be installed.

Furthermore, the DM showed frustration over the slow progress in the payment of rent related to the Parvarish Yojana and Anganwadi Centre. It was noted that beneficiaries like Soni Devi have not received their dues since July. The DM instructed immediate payment and called for accountability among the workers responsible for these delays.

In another matter, the Executive Engineer was reprimanded for waterlogging issues caused by broken pipes. The DM stressed that the roads should remain clear and ordered immediate repairs. He also asked for a proposal for constructing drains to be prepared without delay.

To improve transparency, the DM mandated that all applicants must receive reports of their applications after processing. He is actively checking with applicants to see if their issues are resolved, ensuring better accountability in the future.
