Bhagalpur Police has taken two major actions recently. They have solved the case of double murder of two youths on the railway tracks of Nathnagar Railway Station last month. The notorious accused Mannu Yadav, involved in the killings, was arrested with illegal weapons and cartridges. The raid team, led by the City SP and City DSP, arrested Mannu Yadav. In another operation under Mission Safety, three criminals planning a crime in Madhusudanpur Thana area were arrested with weapons and a stolen bike.
Nathnagar Railway Station Double Murder Incident
On the night of January 24, a shocking incident of double murder took place at Nathnagar Railway Station where two young men were shot dead. The incident spread panic in the area. The victims, Prince Kumar from Kunditola and Shekhar Kumar from Narpur, were shot dead on Platform No. 1 around 10:30 pm. One of the victims succumbed to his injuries while the other was critically wounded and later died in the hospital. The police found the victim’s phone at the crime scene and initiated an investigation.
Notorious Criminal Caught with Weapons
In a successful operation related to the double murder case, the police arrested notorious Mannu Yadav. They recovered a traditional weapon, cartridges, and ₹70,000 from Mannu Yadav. It is worth mentioning that Mannu Yadav, also known as Manua Raghopur Tiker, is the son of Arjun Yadav of Madhusudanpur Thana. He has a criminal record with 17 cases of theft, robbery, looting, and murder against him.
Three Criminals Planning a Crime Arrested
In another case, under Mission Safety, the police arrested three criminals who were planning a crime in the Madhusudanpur Thana area. The Bhagalpur Police received information on Wednesday that these criminals were planning a crime with weapons. A team was formed under the supervision of the City SP and led by the City DSP, and the three criminals were apprehended with weapons on Bhathodia Road. They were also found in possession of a stolen bike. The arrested criminals, Shashi Kumar, Avinash Kumar, and Neeraj Kumar, are accused in cases related to looting and the Arms Act.
