Driver of the private vehicle of Central Minister Nitin Anand Ray and Hajiapur MLA Avadesh Singh has accused the police and local chief of brutally beating him. The driver is currently undergoing treatment at Hajipur Sadar Hospital with the help of his family and local residents. He alleges that near the minister’s house, the chief and his men mercilessly assaulted him.
The driver claims that he was coming from his house to Hajipur when the police mentioned about the car hitting a pedestrian. He was then taken from Jadua to Kanpura where he was beaten up. Around 10 people, including the local chief, arrived at the scene and took him from Jadua to Kanpura. After that, he was taken to an underground location near the minister’s house and brutally beaten. He kept pleading for mercy, but no one listened to him.
The injured driver has been identified as Chandan Kumar from Sultanpur. After the incident, MLA Avadesh Singh reached the hospital and gathered information about the entire incident from the injured. The MLA stated that a high-level investigation should be conducted into this matter. Whoever is guilty should be punished.
During the interrogation, Chandan Kumar revealed that there was a traffic jam on the road. Sub-Inspector Arvind Kumar was passing by. I told him to go from the left side. However, he did not go from the left and got out of the car. He snatched the keys to my bike and placed it on the side. After that, I was brutally beaten. The driver appeals to the senior police officer to take this matter seriously and arrest the culprits.
