The video is said to be about 15 days old and was made in Samir Nagar under the Chitragupta Nagar police station in Khagaria district. The person seen beating the student in the video has been identified as Prashant Kumar, son of Ramfal Das from Madhavpur area under Parbatta police station. He is accused of running a smack and banned cough syrup business.

The accused Prashant Kumar has posted several pictures with illegal weapons on social media multiple times. A student has accused Prashant Kumar of distributing drugs among students studying in Khagaria. The students claim that Prashant Kumar beat a student naked due to drug business rivalry. The video of this incident has now gone viral on social media. The victim had lodged a complaint, which angered the accused Prashant, leading him to brutally beat the student.

It is reported that Prashant Kumar resides near Samir Nagar in the Chitragupta Nagar police station area of Khagaria district. People say that Prashant Kumar supplies smack and banned cough syrup to students studying in lodges in Khagaria. During the distribution of drugs, he makes videos of students and later blackmails them based on those videos to engage in illegal activities. The Senior SP Mukul Kumar Ranjan stated that the video has been received by them as well and an investigation is underway. The accused will be arrested soon and questioned about the weapons as well.
