Dumka, the sub-capital of Jharkhand, has received final approval from the Ministry of Railways to connect directly with the capital city of Bihar, Patna. The operation of this train will begin in January. The Railway Board has released the timetable for Train No. 13334 Patna-Dumka and Train No. 13333 Dumka-Patna Express. The Director of Coaching, Rajesh Kumar, issued a letter regarding this matter. According to the letter, the commercial stops for this train will include Rajendra Nagar Terminal, Bakhtiyarpur, Baad, Abhaypur, Jamalpur, Sultanpur, Bhagalpur, Barahat, Hansdiha, Nonihat-Bhatudih, and Barapalasi. The primary maintenance of this train will be carried out in Dhanbad. The train will operate on a daily basis.

After initiating rail services from Dumka to Ranchi and Hazaribagh, Member of Parliament Dr. Nishikant Dubey proposed to start rail services from Dumka to Patna to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Agreeing with the proposal of Minister Dubey, the approval for the Dumka-Patna train was granted. This train will cover the distance between Dumka and Bhagalpur in two and a half hours.

दुमका बिहार की उपराजधानी पटना को सीधी रेल सेवा से जोड़ने की मंजूरी रेल मंत्रालय से मिल गई है। इस ट्रेन का परिचालन जनवरी में शुरू होगा और यह ट्रेन रोजाना चलेगी। इस ट्रेन का समय सारणी भी जारी कर दी गई है और इसका प्राइमरी मेनटेनेंस धनबाद में होगा। दुमका से पटना की दूरी ढाई घंटे में तय की जा सकेगी। यह रेल सेवा के साथ दुमका के लोगों को बड़ी सुविधा मिलेगी।
