One major announcement was the construction of a new coaching depot between Jamalpur and Bhagalpur, which will help in running more trains. Currently, the tripling of tracks between Jamalpur and Bhagalpur is underway, and plans are in place for a fourth track from Barharwa to Bhagalpur. This will significantly increase train services in the area.

Additionally, the Rail Nirman Karkhana Sangharsh Morcha presented a memorandum to the GM. They are requesting that Jamalpur be recognized as a manufacturing hub within East Central Railway and emphasized the need for employee safety. The assurance of more work and the coaching depot has raised hopes for the development of Jamalpur.
