ED Conducts Massive Raid in Bihar

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team conducted a raid for nearly 16 hours in two districts of Bihar, Patna, and Bhojpur. During the raid, the ED team targeted the properties of RJD MLA Kiran Devi. After the raid concluded late on Tuesday night, the ED team left Kiran Devi’s properties in Bhojpur and Patna with their seized documents.

Seizure of Incriminating Documents

During the raid, supporters of former RJD MLA Arun Yadav and MLA Kiran Devi were visibly upset. The raid at Arun Yadav’s properties, who is closely associated with the Lalu Prasad Yadav family, resulted in the seizure of numerous documents related to investments, land assets, and other important papers. The seized documents will be thoroughly examined to uncover any illegal activities, including unauthorized investments.

Allegations and Further Investigations

The ED’s raid is related to more than a dozen criminal cases under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) against Arun Yadav, Kiran Devi’s husband and former MLA. Arun Yadav is accused of accumulating wealth worth crores through various criminal activities. The ED had proposed action under the PMLA Act against Arun Yadav four years ago, leading to the current investigation. The raid conducted by the ED on Tuesday is a significant development in uncovering any illicit earnings and assets linked to the individuals involved.
