Accident in Muraliganj area
A serious accident occurred in the Muraliganj area of Madhepura, where an elderly man named Sahadev Yadav was seriously injured in a bike collision on the road leading from Chamgadh Chowk to Bariyahi. Unfortunately, he passed away on the way to the medical college for treatment. He was identified as a resident of Ward No. 6 of Jitapur Panchayat in Bariyahi.
Details of the Incident
According to relatives, Sahadev Yadav was walking back home from Chamgadh Chowk when an uncontrolled bike rider hit him on the road. Upon learning about the incident, they rushed to the scene and admitted the injured to the medical hospital. However, he had already succumbed to his injuries by then. The bike rider was also seriously injured in the accident and was identified as the son of Jnani Rishidev, a resident of Ration Ward No. 2 in Arar Thana area.
Intoxicated Bike Rider
The grandson of the deceased, Manish Kumar, mentioned that there was a smell of alcohol coming from the bike rider’s mouth. He was intoxicated and lost control, resulting in the collision. The authorities have been informed about the incident, and the police are conducting further investigations. The deceased is survived by three sons and three daughters, as per the information provided by the villagers.
Postmortem and Ongoing Investigation
The body has been sent to Madhepura Sadar Hospital for postmortem examination. The police from Singheshwar Thana have reached the medical college to initiate the necessary procedures. The villagers have kept the bike involved in the accident in their custody. The treatment of the injured bike rider is currently underway at Jananayak Karpuri Thakur Medical College Hospital.
