Tragic Incident in Maner Thana Area of Patna
In a tragic incident in Gauraiya Sthan in the Maner Thana area of Patna, an elderly man lost his life after getting electrocuted by fallen power lines on Sunday night. The incident occurred when 59-year-old Deenbandhu Ray, a resident of Gauraiya Sthan Naga Tola, was running behind his cow to catch it. In the process, he came in contact with the live electric wire that had fallen near a transformer.
Immediate Response and Investigation
Local residents immediately called the electricity department to shut off the power supply and rushed Ray to a nearby doctor. Unfortunately, he was declared dead upon arrival. Ray was known for his work of milking cows in the area. BJP candidate Ramkrupal visited the hospital upon receiving the news and provided support to the grieving family.
Eye-Witness Account and Demand for Compensation
Ray’s son, Baban Ray, recounted that his father had gone out after milking the cows at night when one of the cows started running away. He chased after the cow, and in the process, came in contact with the broken power line. Nikhil Anand, present at the scene, demanded appropriate compensation for the family of the deceased due to the negligence of the electricity department.

The tragic death of Deenbandhu Ray has raised questions about the safety measures taken by the electricity department in the area. The family and locals are demanding justice and proper compensation for the loss of life due to the irresponsible handling of power lines.
