Land Dispute Leads to Murder of Elderly Man
The incident took place in a village where the deceased, Raju, had given land to some people for farming. Anil Mahato from the same village used to work on the land for farming. Anil had previously threatened these people and got into a dispute with them. On Wednesday night, as his father was going towards the field, he was shot three times from behind on his back while riding a bike, leading to his death.
Sound of Gunshots Alerted Villagers
Upon hearing the gunshots, the villagers rushed to the field and found Raju lying in a pool of blood, already dead. They were previously working on three acres of land for farming, but this time they were working on two acres of land. The DSP Sumit Kumar informed that the police received information on Wednesday night that a person had been shot and killed in Hurdari village.
Police Investigation
Upon receiving the information, the DSP, Inspector, Thana Chief, and Thana Chief of Karai Parsurai along with the police force reached the crime scene to investigate. The initial investigation revealed that the murder was a result of a land dispute.
