Bihar reeling under extreme heat wave

The scorching heat wave in Bihar has led to deteriorating conditions for the people. Children in schools are fainting due to the heat wave, while lives are also being lost. In Patna, after four deaths on Sunday due to the intense heat, two more deaths were reported on Monday. Reports of two deaths in Masaurhi and Beur areas of Patna have emerged. The weather department predicts no relief from the heat wave until June 14, issuing alerts for extreme heat wave in over 10 districts in Bihar.

Heat wave continues to trouble Bihar

Most parts of Bihar are facing daytime heat strokes and sweaty nights due to the extreme heat wave. Temperatures in many districts are soaring above 45-46°C, making even air conditioners ineffective. The weather department anticipates no respite from the heat in the next three days. Although, they are hopeful of some relief from the heat wave soon.

Red alerts for extreme heat wave in certain districts

The weather department has issued red alerts for extreme heat wave in more than 10 districts in Bihar, including Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Sheikhpura, Navada, Jehanabad, Gaya, Aurangabad, Arwal, Bhojpur, Buxar, and Rohtas. The rest of Bihar will continue to experience increased heat with humidity. The onset of Southwest Monsoon is awaited to provide relief from the scorching heat in Bihar.
