Tragic Death of a Farmer due to Lightning Strike in Dighra Village, Jhajha Thana Area of Jamui

A farmer in Dighra village, Jhajha Thana area of Jamui district lost his life due to a lightning strike. The body has been sent to Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Narayan Yadav, a resident of Dighra village.

Incident Details and Police Response

Narayan Yadav was working in the fields of Dhamna village when suddenly heavy rainfall started. He was on his way back home to Dighra when a lightning strike occurred. This unfortunate incident led to his immediate death. The police were informed about the incident and the body was sent to the hospital for further procedures.

Weather Department Alert and Previous Lightning Strike Cases

Within the past month, more than a dozen people have lost their lives due to lightning strikes in the district. The Weather Department had previously issued alerts regarding heavy rainfall and the possibility of lightning strikes. The authorities are taking necessary steps to prevent such incidents in the future.

Police Investigation and Further Action

The Jhajha Thana in-charge, Sanjay Kumar Singh, confirmed the farmer’s death due to a lightning strike and mentioned that the investigation is ongoing. The police are working on the case to ensure necessary actions are taken to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

झाझा थाना क्षेत्र की दिघरा गांव में वज्रपात की चपेट में आने से एक किसान की मौत हो गई। मृतक की पहचान दिघरा गांव निवासी 60 वर्षीय नारायण यादव के रूप में की गई है। उनके भाई विमल प्रसाद यादव ने बताया कि वे खेत में काम कर रहे थे जब अचानक बरसात होने लगी और वज्रपात हो गया। पुलिस जांच कर रही है और इसकी प्रक्रिया जारी है। यह एक माह में जिले में वज्रपात से अधिक लोगों की मौत हो गई है, जिसके लिए मौसम विभाग ने अलर्ट जारी किया था। झाझा थानाध्यक्ष ने बताया कि इस मामले में जांच की जा रही है।
