Tragic Incident in Purnia
In Purnia on Friday evening, a woman was crushed by a truck. The woman died on the spot in the accident. Local residents and outraged family members caught the driver, demanding compensation and blocking the road for hours in protest. The incident took place in the Dagrua Thana area.
Police Investigation
Upon receiving information about the road blockage, local police reached the scene. After much effort, the anger of the family members was calmed down. The police have taken custody of the body and arrested the driver for further investigation. The deceased woman has been identified as Masoumat Mangali, wife of late Mansoor from Gandhwas village in Belgachhi Panchayat area of Dagrua Thana.
Tragic Turn of Events
The family members revealed that the deceased, Masoumat Mangali, was on her way to attend her daughter’s wedding ceremony in Dubaili village. She was walking towards her in-laws’ house when she was hit by the uncontrolled truck. The incident was so severe that the woman died on the spot, leading to a protest and road blockade by the locals on the Barauni-Dubaili road.
Police Action
Dagrua Thana in-charge Ravindra Kumar Mandal mentioned that the police had reached the scene as soon as they were informed about the incident. The driver has been taken into custody and the case is under investigation. The tragic accident has left the community in shock and mourning the loss of Masoumat Mangali.
