Accident on State Highway-91 in Supaul
An unknown pickup truck collided with a bike carrying electricity minister in Bhimpur Thana on State Highway-91, resulting in the minister’s death on the spot. The enraged villagers and relatives placed the body on the highway, causing a traffic jam and demanding compensation. The deceased had five brothers, one of whom was at a different location at the time of the accident.
Details of the Deceased
The deceased, Manoj, worked as a private contractor in the electricity department. He was on his way to Bhimpur on a bike on Thursday evening when the accident occurred. The villagers blocked the road and demanded the presence of senior officials to address the situation.
Resolution by Authorities
After the officials arrived, the situation was calmed down. The Bhimpur police informed the Chhataapur regional officer and BDO about the incident. With the help of Chhataapur BDO Dr. Rakesh Kumar and local representatives, the situation was resolved peacefully after about two and a half hours of negotiation. The body was sent for postmortem on Friday morning.
Action against the Accident
The Bhimpur Thana in-charge stated that necessary action is being taken in the case. The incident caused disruption in traffic for over two hours, but eventually, the situation was brought under control with the efforts of the authorities and local representatives.
सुपौल के भीमपुर थाना के स्टेट हाईवे-91 मुख्य मार्ग पर एक अज्ञात पिकअप गाड़ी ने बाइक सवार बिजली मिस्त्री को टक्कर मार दी, जिससे उसकी मौत हो गई। इसके पश्चात उसके परिजनों और ग्रामीणों ने रोड जाम कर मुआवजे की मांग की। इसके बाद पुलिस ने इस मामले में कार्रवाई करने का आदेश दिया और शव को पोस्टमॉर्टम के लिए सदर अस्पताल भेजा गया है।
