What’s inside:

A tragic incident in Bihar where a father shot his daughter and then attempted suicide.

A shocking incident has occurred in Siwan district, Bihar, where a father shot his 11-year-old daughter, Radhika. This sad event took place in Thepahan village after the father, Akhilesh Kumar, returned from Delhi with her. He had brought Radhika back, claiming he wanted to take her to a wedding.

After arriving home, Akhilesh shot his daughter just a few hours later. Following this, he attempted to take his own life multiple times. First, he tried to shoot himself, but the gun jammed. Then he tried to hang himself, and finally, he cut his wrist, but none of these methods succeeded.

In a desperate act, he locked the house and jumped in front of a train at Jiradei station, resulting in serious injuries but he survived. Family members became suspicious when they could not find Radhika, which led to the police being called. When officers arrived and broke into the house, they found Radhika’s body and an empty liquor bottle.

Akhilesh was known to have a long-standing alcohol addiction, which had caused issues in his family. His wife had left him about four years ago, taking their other children with her. Currently, he is receiving treatment at Siwan Sadar Hospital under police supervision and has claimed that he killed Radhika because no one was there to take care of her.

The police have started an investigation into the matter, focusing on the circumstances surrounding the shooting and the condition of the weapon found at the scene. They are looking into whether it was functional or not. The investigation continues as they gather more information.
