**After the incident, grieving relatives**
A speeding pickup van on the Ara-Sasaram State Highway collided with a father and son riding a bike, resulting in a fatal crash. The father died on the spot, while the son is undergoing treatment at the Ara Sadar Hospital. The police were informed of the incident and they brought both victims to the hospital where the father was declared dead after a doctor’s examination. The incident occurred near the Udwantnagar village in the Udwantnagar police station area on Friday morning.
**Son was going to arrange teacher recruitment exam**
The deceased, identified as Jay Kishun Ram, a resident of the Gausganj area under Town police station, was a 41-year-old teacher by profession. He was currently working as the acting principal at a primary school in Bampali village. His injured son, Rahul Kumar, mentioned that his father was going to Sasaram to arrange for a teacher recruitment exam on Friday morning. They were riding the bike towards Sasaram when the accident happened.
**Speeding pickup from opposite direction**
Upon reaching Udwantnagar, a speeding pickup van from the opposite direction hit them, resulting in the father’s death at the scene. Rahul was severely injured in the accident. The Bhojpur police brought them to the Ara Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared Jay Kishun Ram dead. The injured son is currently receiving treatment at the same hospital. The police informed the relatives of the deceased after the incident.
**Postmortem conducted at the hospital**
After receiving the news of the incident, the deceased’s relatives rushed to the Ara Sadar Hospital where the police conducted a postmortem on the body. The relatives mentioned that the deceased had three brothers, one sister, a wife named Lalita Devi, two daughters named Shweta and Swati, and a son named Rahul. The entire family is devastated by the tragic incident.
