Fire Breaks Out Due to Gas Leak During Cooking, 4 Injured
In Thana Chowk area of Jamui, a fire broke out suddenly due to a gas leak while cooking. Four people, including an innocent girl, were severely injured in the incident. Local residents admitted everyone to the Sadar Hospital for treatment, where everyone’s condition became serious.
Gas Agency Worker’s Family Among Victims
Saddam, also known as Shahenshah, revealed that he works in the Love Kush Gas Agency. He was on leave for a month and a half due to his wedding. Two days ago, someone delivered a gas cylinder to his house. On Saturday, when his family members connected the cylinder to the stove to cook, a fire broke out due to leakage.
Child’s Condition Critical, Allegations of Negligence
Local residents extinguished the fire and evacuated everyone. Three-year-old Nayra Khatoon’s condition is critical. The victims alleged that no investigation is carried out regarding leaks during gas delivery by the distributing agency, leading to such incidents. Police from Town Thana reached the Sadar Hospital after receiving information about the incident.
Police to Investigate and Take Action
Thana in-charge Arun Kumar stated that an investigation will be conducted and necessary action will be taken. The incident has raised concerns about the safety measures during gas delivery and the need for stricter regulations to avoid such accidents in the future.
