This article talks about the changes in train services in Bihar due to fog, including cancellations and reduced frequencies.

Fog is causing issues with train operations in Bihar. From December 1 to March 3, the Eastern Central Railway (ECR) has made significant changes to 48 trains that either start or pass through Bihar. Out of these, 24 trains will be completely cancelled, and the frequency of the other 24 will be reduced.

These changes mean that passengers may face quite a bit of inconvenience. The Chief Relationship Officer of ECR has shared that specific trains like the Howrah Mathura Junction Chambal Express will not operate on certain days, and similar cancellations apply to other trains as well.

For instance, the Gwalior Barauni Express will be cancelled every Monday and Thursday from December 1, 2025, to February 26, 2026. Other trains like the Ajmer Sealdah Express and Kolkata Amritsar Express will also have regular cancellations on certain days during this period.

Passengers are advised to check train schedules before travelling. The railways have emphasized the importance of checking the status of trains and booking tickets accordingly to avoid any issues. Train speeds will also be slower during foggy conditions to ensure safety.

In light of these changes, it’s essential for travellers to stay updated. The railways encourage everyone to confirm their train timings and routes to prevent any travel complications during this winter season.

Summary:

  • Fog is disrupting train services in Bihar.

  • 24 trains are cancelled and 24 trains have reduced frequency.

  • Specific trains have scheduled cancellations on certain days.

  • Passengers should check train status before travelling.

  • Slower train speeds will be in effect for safety during fog.
