Brutal Murder in Bettiah

In a shocking incident, former village head Jitendra Singh was brutally murdered by bike-borne miscreants in Majhaulia block of Bettiah. The incident took place near the Eastern Railway Gumti, just 200 meters away from the railway station. Despite being shot multiple times, the victim managed to run a short distance before collapsing.

Police Investigation

The Superintendent of Police also visited the crime scene to gather information from officials. Jitendra Singh, who had previously served as the village head twice, was a prominent figure in the city and had been involved in various disputes.

Family members revealed that Jitendra Singh was returning home on his bike from work when he was shot 19 times near the railway Gumti. This tragic incident has left the victim’s wife and relatives devastated. The family had previously faced a similar attack on Jitendra’s son, but no concrete action was taken by the police at that time.

Despite the victim’s attempts to seek help from passersby after being shot, no one came forward to assist him.
