Freezing Cold in Bihar:

The cold wave and chilly winds from the Himalayas have brought a sharp drop in temperatures in most districts of Bihar. The minimum temperature in these districts has fallen below 10 degrees. The Meteorological Department has issued a cold day alert in eight to nine districts and a cold wave alert in other districts. The situation will continue to be cold in many districts of the state on January 15, especially along the banks of the Ganges and its tributaries, where dense fog is expected. Weather scientists have advised pilgrims taking a dip in the Ganges to be cautious and protect themselves from the cold.

Gaya Weather News:

The weather in Gaya has been extremely cold, with dense fog and mist continuing for the past three days. There has been a slight sunlight in the afternoon in the capital city of Patna. Dense fog has been reported in many parts of the state, causing delays in trains and flights. On Sunday, the average speed in northern and western Bihar was around six to ten kilometers per hour, leading to a freezing temperature in various places. However, even after the sun came out in some areas, it still felt chilly.

Bhagalpur Weather:

The temperature in Bhagalpur has dropped by 2.4 degrees. There will be a change in the weather from January 16 as another western disturbance becomes active. This may cause a slight increase in temperature followed by a decrease. In more than seven districts, there has been a cold day with temperatures dropping below freezing and up to one kilometer above the surface. Patna, Bhagalpur, Purnia, Valmiki Nagar, Muzaffarpur, Buxar, and Rohtas have all experienced cold days with temperatures lower than usual by four to six degrees. The southern and western parts of Bihar, bordering Uttar Pradesh, are also experiencing a cold wave.

Muzaffarpur Weather:

Muzaffarpur has broken records with extremely cold temperatures, resulting in an alert for chilly weather. According to IMD official figures, the maximum temperature in Patna was 15.4 degrees below normal, Bhagalpur was 17.5 degrees below normal, and Purnia was seven degrees below normal. Severe cold day conditions were observed in these areas. In more than 25 districts or locations in the state, the minimum temperature has been recorded around 10 degrees or lower. The lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Sabour at five degrees Celsius, while the highest maximum temperature was recorded in Motihari at 20 degrees Celsius.
