Tragic Incident at Ganga Ghat
A heartbreaking incident occurred at the Sarari Ghat of the Ganga river in the Mohanpur police station area of Samastipur, where during Ganga Dussehra, a brother drowned. The bike of the two brothers was found at the ghat, leading to concerns about their safety.
Search and Rescue Operations
Both brothers, residents of Madhopur Ward 6 in the Madhopur Sarari village under the same police station, had gone to take a dip in the Ganga river on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra. However, when they did not return home by late evening, their family members began searching for them. The bike and clothes of the missing brothers were found near the ghat, indicating a possible drowning incident.
Authorities Notified
The local administration has been informed about the incident, and they have initiated search and rescue operations at the site. The missing brothers’ family has also requested the SDRF team to assist in locating them. Despite being informed, the SDRF team had not arrived at the scene yet, and local efforts are underway to find the missing siblings.
Efforts for Recovery
The Sub-Divisional Officer has confirmed that one of the brothers drowned while taking a bath in the Ganga river, and the SDRF team has been called in for assistance. With the help of local divers, the search for the bodies has begun to bring closure to this tragic incident.
