Gaya: A regional garden exhibition and competition was organized by the Bazaar Samiti in Chandauti, Gaya. Farmers from five districts of the Magadh region, including Gaya, Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Arwal, and Nawada, participated in the exhibition, showcasing their best fruits, flowers, and vegetables. The exhibition will continue until January 23. The 5-foot-long banana and 40-kilogram pumpkin are attracting a lot of attention from visitors.
In addition to the banana and pumpkin, the exhibition also features Taiwanese pink guava, broccoli, red and yellow bell peppers, papaya, figs, local betel leaves, black potatoes, honey, decorative flowers, cacti, and medicinal plants, among other things. The 5-foot-long banana brought by farmers from Gaya, Aurangabad, and Nawada districts is particularly captivating. Visitors were also amazed by the 40-kilogram pumpkin.
Farmers who perform well will be honored at the exhibition. Tabbsum Parveen, the horticulture officer of Gaya district, said that this exhibition and competition were organized to encourage competition among farmers. Farmers from the five districts of the Magadh region have brought their best fruits, flowers, and vegetables. Many farmers have shown remarkable improvement in the quality of their produce, thanks to the support they have received from the horticulture department. Pawan Kumar, the director of the Magadh region’s gardens, said that farmers who excel at the exhibition will be rewarded.
Prizes for the exhibition include Rs 2,000 for first place, Rs 1,500 for second place, and Rs 1,000 for third place. The farmer who receives the most awards at the exhibition will be given an additional Rs 5,000. It was also mentioned that there is a great potential for strawberry cultivation in the Magadh region. Large-scale cultivation of strawberries is being carried out in Gaya and Aurangabad. Some farmers are also growing dragon fruit and G9 variety bananas.
गया के चंदौती स्थित बाजार समिति ने प्रमंडल स्तरीय उद्यान प्रदर्शनी सह प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया है। इस प्रदर्शनी में मगध प्रमंडल के पांच जिलों के किसान अपने अद्वितीय फल, फूल और सब्जियों को दिखा रहे हैं। इसमें सबसे आकर्षक उद्यान प्रदर्शनी में 5 फुट का केला और 40 किलो का कोहड़ा है। प्रदर्शनी में अन्य वनस्पतियों के साथ-साथ 64 तरह की चीजें भी देखने लायक हैं। सबसे बेहतर प्रदर्शन करने वाले किसानों को सम्मानित किया जाएगा और इनाम के रूप में राशि दी जाएगी।
