Gaya Lok Sabha Seat Election Update
The first phase of elections for the Gaya Lok Sabha seat in Bihar is scheduled to take place on April 19th. The nomination process was completed on March 28th, with candidates from the BJP and RJD submitting their nomination papers along with details of their assets. RJD candidate Kumar Sarvjeet is contesting from the Gaya constituency, with his wife being revealed as a crorepati with more assets than him, including weapons and expensive cars. On the other hand, BJP candidate Jitan Ram Manjhi owns an old model Ambassador car and a Scorpio SUV.
Kumar Sarvjeet’s Asset Details
Kumar Sarvjeet has declared cash of Rs 30,000 and Rs 10.70 lakh in two bank accounts in his asset details. His wife has approximately Rs 25.74 lakh in three bank accounts, while the couple has taken a bank loan of Rs 16 lakh. Sarvjeet also owns three vehicles ★an SUV, Tata Safari, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, and a Mahindra Thar. Additionally, he possesses gold worth Rs 5.94 lakh and other assets, making his total assets amount to Rs 90.31 lakh.
Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Asset Declaration
Former Chief Minister and BJP candidate Jitan Ram Manjhi has disclosed his assets, including weapons, vehicles, land, and cattle. His assets amount to Rs 25 lakh, including cash of Rs 49,000 and a residential house worth Rs 13.50 lakh. His wife, Shanti Devi, owns jewelry worth Rs 4 lakh out of her total assets of Rs 5 lakh. Manjhi is facing allegations in six different cases across various police stations, currently under trial in court. His possessions include an Ambassador car, Scorpio SUV, two cows at his residential house, and a DBBL gun.
