Introduction
The Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana and National Urban Livelihoods Mission have jointly facilitated the inclusion of approximately 100 women from Gokulnagar into 10 self-help groups (SHGs) through the efforts of the JNSC (Jankalyan Nagrik Sahakari Samiti).
Objective
The objective of this initiative is to provide these women with self-employment opportunities and empower them to improve their economic conditions. By joining the SHGs, these women will receive training and support to engage in various income-generating activities.
Implementation
Under the guidance of the JNSC, the women are being trained in different skills such as handicrafts, tailoring, and food processing. Additionally, they are also receiving financial assistance to start their own small businesses. The SHGs serve as a platform for these women to collaborate, share knowledge, and collectively solve challenges they may face in their entrepreneurial journey.
Impact
By integrating these women into the workforce, the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana and National Urban Livelihoods Mission aim to reduce poverty and improve the overall socio-economic conditions of the community. This initiative not only provides economic empowerment to the women involved but also contributes to their personal and social development. The success of the program will be measured by the increase in income levels and overall improvement in the standard of living for these women and their families.
